Persistence and Optimisim
HA HA Ha ha. That's all I can do right now is laugh. To say the least the phone call for the interview in NY never came. It has been a whirlwind of ups and downs. One minute I find opportunity, then hope, then disappointment. It's a vicious cycle. Right after my first major let-down, I chatted with my brother-in-law. He is a very successful regional manager who has been on the opposite side; firing hundreds of hardworking employees. He told me this, "Persistence and optimism are the keys to success. Remember, winners win but they do not win every day, every situation, that is persistence." I wrote that down on a sticky note and posted it to my computer. It relieved a lot of stress for me. I can not control the situation I am in. All I can control is my outlook and to be persistent. As long as I have taken every opportunity given to me and held up my end, that is all I can do. It has given me a lot of peace and hopefully with my hardwork, preparation, and dedication I will find a job sooner than later.
